Wrightsville man charged with 40 counts of child abuse

WRIGHTSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) —A man in Johnson County is in custody, facing 40 charges in reference to Cruelty to children. We must warn you, the details in this story you are about to read are graphic and may be disturbing.
According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, it issued a warrant and arrested 28-year-old Johnny Riner Price on July 14. He’s charged with 20 counts of Aggravated Sodomy and 20 counts of Cruelty to children- 1st Degree.
His arrest originated from information obtained by the Sheriff’s Office on July 10. The investigation revealed that between January 2014 and December 2017, Price made contact with the victim at a home, at which time the victim was between the ages of five and eight-years-old. Investigators say Price would provide the victim with an undisclosed type of drug and have the victim perform sexual acts.
They say he admitted to the alleged offenses after being taken into custody.
Price is currently being held at the Emanual County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center awaiting extradition back to Johnson County.
