WR Council Says Yes to Clean Air

Warner Robins City Council members met Monday evening.

They unanimously voted to pass a resolution for the Middle Georgia Clean Air Coalition. The purpose of the coalition will be to promote clean air in Bibb, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Monroe, Peach and Twiggs counties.

According to Councilman John Williams, the company will be responsible for developing strategies to reduce air pollution.

“Due to the huge growth in Warner Robins and the base, we’re having issues with air and this is to help make the base more viable, help everyone stay healthy, help the people in the living area stay healthy.”

In addition to protecting the public’s health, the company will participate in education outreach by teaching residents how to better reduce pollution.
