WR City Council Announces Plan to Hire More Police Officers

At Monday night’s Warner Robins City Council meeting, Mayor Chuck Shaheen announced four more police officers will be added to the department.

The Mayor has been working with Police Chief Brett Evans, and both have come up with a way to budget in the positions. Mayor Shaheen also says this will help with overtime, but more importantly it will help those who are overworked.

Officials hope the new officers will help reduce crime, and better serve the citizens of Warner Robins on a daily basis.
