Women Rally for Paris Bid for Re-Election
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – State Senator Miriam Paris was surrounded by women to support her efforts to win the District 26 seat.
Rep. Nikki Randall and Macon City Councilwoman Lauren Bennedict showed up at Paris’ headquarters Wednesday.
The group formerly known as ‘Women for Paris” announced it would endorse the senator in upcoming run-off.
Paris is already serving as the District 26 representative. She was elected to fill the seat back in 2011 after the passing of Senator Robert Brown.
Paris will take on former state representative David Lucas in the run-off election for the senate seat on August 21.
Early voting in the run-off election begins August 13.
