Woman shot on Ashland Drive in Macon on Sunday morning, investigation underway

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A woman was shot on Sunday morning in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened at 5:29 a.m. on December 29 within the 4400 block of Ashland Drive.

Deputies responded to the scene in reference to shots fired. Deputies found a 38-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound.

The woman was transported to a medical facility and is listed in stable condition.
