Woman Hit, Killed on Riverside Drive

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- At least one car struck and killed a woman on Riverside Drive around 11 Friday night.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones identified the victim as 46-year-old Vanessa Rozier of Culloden. Jones told 41NBC Rozier thought she left something on top of her vehicle, and pulled over on Riverside in front of Locos to check, when two vehicles hit her. Jones pronounced her dead on the scene at 11:30

Around 11:55, Macon Police had a stretch of road blocked off between Corbin Avenue and Locos Grill, where a car with a shattered windshield sat among about a dozen police cars.

Jones said this is an ongoing investigation, and he’s not sure whether the drivers of the two vehicles will face charges.
