Woman charged with Macon reverend’s murder
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 48-year-old Tracia Hubbard and charged her with the murder of a Macon reverend.
Deputies responded to a home on Grosso Avenue early Saturday morning. When they arrived, they found 33-year-old Brandon Parker on the ground outside the home with a gunshot wound to the neck, according to a news release from the department.
Hubbard was kneeling down next to Parker.
Deputies CPR attempts were unsuccessful. Parker was pronounced dead at the scene, according to investigators.
Parker was a reverend at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Macon. He is the grandson of Reverend Jacob Parker.
Macon-Bibb County honored Reverend Jacob for almost 50 years of service with a memorial sign on Elm Street and an anniversary celebration service this weekend.
