Woman arrested in connection with Macon hit-and-run that left man in critical condition
Deputies responded to the scene and found a 36-year-old man who had been struck by a vehicle.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run that left a man in critical condition early Sunday, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident happened at 1:03 a.m. May 18 on Poplar Street.
Deputies responded to the scene and found a 36-year-old man who had been struck by a vehicle. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition.
The incident remains under investigation.
At 12:15 p.m. May 20, investigators identified 35-year-old Mykia Tenequia Williams as the suspected driver. She was taken into custody at a residence in the 4600 block of Sylvester Circle by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office H.E.A.T. Unit.
Williams is charged with hit-and-run resulting in serious injury or death and is being held without bond.
