Woman Arrested in Connection to Hit-and-Run That Killed Student
BARNESVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman is in jail for the hit and run that killed a Gordon State student Sunday morning.
Bobbie Jo Sumner, 39, of Barnesville, Georgia was arrested for the hit and run fatality that killed Alexandra Noel Desir according to a news release from the Lamar County Sheriff’s office.
Sumner’s ex-boyfriend, Robert King, was also arrested in connection with the incident.
The 2004 Saturn Vue suspected of being involved in the hit and run was recovered at King’s home.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are still pending, warrants for both parties will be obtained by the Georgia State Patrol.
