Macon woman accidentally shot by friend

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman was accidentally shot when a gun discharged at 232 Lilly Avenue in Macon.

According to a news release, 60-year-old Shirley Hill was shot when her friend 53-year-old Timothy dropped a gun while handling it, causing it to fire.

Hill was shot in the leg and taken to a local hospital. She’s listed in stable condition.

Hill says she will not press any charges because it was an accident
