Woman accidentally shoots friend in knee

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating an accidental shooting that happened at a home on Hendley Street Friday night.

Investigators say 30-year-old Jordan Lynch was cleaning out her purse and removed her gun. She then accidentally shot 26-year-old Matthew Wesley Robert Harvey in his right knee.

According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s report, “Lynch drove Harvey to a gas station at 4933 Sardis Church Road where they met an ambulance.”

Harvey was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.
