WIND ADVISORY In Place For Saturday
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for all of North and Middle Georgia from 10 AM Saturday to 7 PM Saturday.
Winds from the northwest between 20 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph, are possible throughout the day, as a strong cold front crosses the state.
Highest wind gusts will be in wide open areas, such as airports or along ridgelines in the mountains.
Weak trees and tree limbs may be downed by the high winds. Isolated power outages may occur.
These strong wind gusts can also make driving difficult so if you are traveling tomorrow around North or Middle Georgia, use caution, especially if traveling in a high profile vehicle.
Gusty winds will also make those temperatures feel MUCH colder than they are! Dress for the elements with proper Winter clothing, and of course remember the Four P’s: People, Pets, Plants, and Pipes.
Winds during the day will make upper 40s and lower 50s feel like the thirties. Winds overnight will make lows in the lower 20s feel like the teens and single digits!
