Wilkinson County teen faces statutory rape charge, GBI investigating

IRWINTON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Wilkinson County teen is charged with rape after an incident at Wilkinson County Middle School.

According to Ryan Carmichael with the GBI, 17-year-old Jadaveon Jones is charged with one count of statutory rape after he was involved with a girl under the age of consent.

Carmichael says the GBI was contacted by the Wilkinson County Sheriff’s Office on Monday.
