Widespread rain drops this afternoon/tonight, leaves in time for the weekend

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – No time yet to enjoy several the dry weather as a wave of moisture enters our area this afternoon. The rain in Mississippi as of this post will move two states eastward into Georgia. This afternoon, rain begins to enter the area, starting with western counties (Monroe, Crawford, Bibb, etc.).

Further into the afternoon, the rain pushes more and more to the east, and by this evening, just about everyone will be hearing the raindrops.

However, rain will begin to leave the area, starting with those same western counties, by tonight around 9pm – 11pm. Overnight, the last of the precipitation will have left, and by tomorrow morning, dry and mostly cloudy.

Today, high of 65. Tomorrow afternoon remains the same with a high of 65 (but no rain!) and a lot sunnier.

No chance for rain for the first March weekend. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 60s.
