Wheelchair-Bound Man Attacked by Dogs in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 70-year-old man in a wheelchair was attacked by two dogs Thursday afternoon on Putnam Street.

According to a release from the Macon Police Department, the man was passing by a home in the 900 block of Putnam Street when two Pit Bulls attacked him, mangling his hand.

A neighbor scared the dogs away.

The victim was transported to the Medical Center with extensive damage to his hand.

The owner of the dogs was cited for Failure to Restrain and Failure to Inoculate.
