Westside High put on lockdown after reports of student in possession of a gun

MACON, GEORGIA (41NBC/WMGT)-Westside High School was placed on lockdown this afternoon around 2:15pm, after administrators received reports that a student might have a weapon. 

According to a news release from the Bibb County School District, Campus Police found an unloaded gun hidden in the shorts under the pants of a 16-year-old male student.

Campus Police deemed it as safe again. The school lifted the lockdown and the school proceeded with dismissal.
