Wedding bells ring at Bibb County Magistrate Court ahead of Valentine’s Day
Couples line up in Macon to say “I do,” sharing excitement and advice about love and marriage

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Wedding bells are ringing at the Bibb County Magistrate Court, and many couples like Tony Chatfield and Venus Causey lined up Friday to take the next step in their relationship. The couple says they’re excited to always have their anniversary around Valentine’s Day.
“I’m a grown man, and I want me a grown woman, you feel me,” Chatfield said. “So I had to do what I had to do.”
Another couple we spoke with, Jerome and Nasia Rodriguez, said they are college sweethearts.
Those were just two of the many couples who signed up to get married during the first session.
Venus shared this advice to anyone who hopes to get married one day.
“You’ll find them, you just have to wait on them. But first of all, you have to put God first, pray about you situation and what you are looking for and what type of man you’re looking for. God will give you that type of man you are looking for, but you got to be patient.”
