Warner Robins man answers door, gets shot
WARNER ROBINS (41NBC/WMGT) — A Warner Robins man is in the hospital after he answered his door and got shot.
Warner Robins Police responded to the shooting in the 600 Block of Maplewood Drive on Monday night at 11:30. Officers say the bullet struck the victim in his right cheek area.
He was taken to Navicent Health for treatment. The hospital reports the injury as non-life-threatening.
Authorities say the victim reported that he was home alone when he heard a knock at his door. He opened the door and an unknown man fired multiple shots before fleeing the scene.
