Warner Robins police secure area after live grenade found in toolbox
Police said the grenade was discovered inside a used truck toolbox when the new owners opened it.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A suspected hand grenade was found Friday afternoon in Warner Robins, according to a news release from the Warner Robins Police Department.
The incident occurred around 2:20 p.m. April 25 at 109 Sun Valley Drive. Police said the grenade was discovered inside a used truck toolbox when the new owners opened it.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit was called to the scene due to the possibility that the device was live.
Police later confirmed the grenade was a live explosive. The area was secured and has since been cleared for normal travel.
