As kids return to school in Houston County, the Warner Robins Police Department is reminding the community to exercise caution and slow down near schools.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – As kids return to school in Houston County, the Warner Robins Police Department is reminding the community to exercise caution and slow down near schools.
Starting Wednesday, cameras near Warner Robins High School, Lake Joy Elementary and Primary, along with Northside High School and Huntington Middle School, will all be fully operational. Residents are urged to adhere to speed limits near schools.
“The implementation of speed cameras has been a vital step in our ongoing efforts to protect our children and enhance public safety, Police Chief Wayne Fisher said. “We encourage everyone to exercise caution and help us create a safe environment for our students to learn and thrive.”
