Warner Robins Police Department Offers Citizen Academy

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – If you’re interested in learning what it’s like to be a police officer, this is your class.

The Warner Robins Police Department is offering the Spring 2014 Citizen Police Academy to people who want to understand the challenges of being a police officer.

It’s a 12-week program allowing participants to learn about investigation, the SWAT team and the use of firearms.

You can also experience some police training and ride with on-duty officers.

It will begin at 6 on Thursday evenings beginning March 6, and continues through May 22nd.

Classes are absolutely free and will be held at the police training center.
