Warner Robins Police Department launches new phone app
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Jennifer Parson couldn’t wait to launch the new phone app for the Warner Robins Police Department. She began planning the app in March.
The app, named “WRPD,” is filled with features including: breaking news, blog posts, crime reports, ticket payments, animal control and firing range information.
“So if you’re interested what’s going on in your community, on your street, in your city, you can put in an address and it’ll pop up all of the crime that has been reported in that area,” Parson said.
She helped create the app with a company from Seattle. It is free of charge and compatible with most Apple and Android devices. Including Windows phone and Amazon Kindle Fire.
