Warner Robins Mayor’s Assistant Claims She Was Mistreated, Files Intent to Sue

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A former administrative assistant to the mayor plans to sue the City of Warner Robins, claiming she was mistreated and forced into early retirement.

In an intent to sue, Macon attorney Jonathan Waters alleges that his client Faye Coulter was bullied and discriminated against while working under Mayor Chuck Shaheen. Waters is demanding nearly $500,000 for his client’s treatment.

Coulter has worked for the City of Warner Robins for nearly 20 years. Most recently, she worked as Shaheen’s executive administrative assistant.

In a statement, Waters said, “The Mayor has subjected Ms. Coulter to demeaning comments, refusing to speak to her for periods of 4 to two weeks at a time in a hostile attempt to subject her to psychological attack, making comments about mental illness or age, and culminating in yelling at her, screaming, calling the police on her, pilfering through her personal effects, forcing an unwanted retirement on her and putting her on administrative leave with no notice or reason.”

Warner Robins City Attorney James Elliot said the city is investigating Coulter’s claims, but he wouldn’t comment further because of pending litigation.
