Warner Robins Man Carries Cross Down Watson Boulevard

It’s Good Friday for Christians around the world today, and one middle Georgia man is sharing the message of Jesus to the people of Warner Robins, by carrying a cross up and down Watson Boulevard.

Calvin Norton has carried this cross on Good Friday for three years, and says he wants to share God’s love with everyone.

“I’m trying to tell the world about Him. Only way I know how to do it is what I’m doing,” Norton says.

Despite near 90 degree temperatures, Norton has been walking a stretch of nearly two miles, back and forth, waving and talking to anyone who wants to stop by.

“People blow the horn, take pictures, that kind of stuff. Waving, just saying I’m doing good.”

“You know, we all gotta answer to Him one day. Good or bad, we gotta answer to Him.”

Norton says he will continue to do this walk every year, hoping that people will go to church, and to find the love of Jesus in their hearts again.
