Warner Robins man arrested after standoff during domestic incident
Warner Robins Police responded early this morning to a family violence call in the 300 block of Athens Street.

UPDATE (8/5/2025 at 3:07 p.m.) A Warner Robins man is in custody following a domestic incident that led to a brief standoff with police.
According to the Warner Robins Police Department, officers responded to a domestic dispute where the victims were able to escape and call 911. Officers identified the suspect as 34-year-old Marquis Williams.
Police say they obtained probable cause to arrest Williams, but he barricaded himself inside the residence with a firearm.
Members of the Warner Robins Police Department SWAT team and Hostage Negotiation Team responded to the scene. After a brief standoff, Williams exited the residence and was taken into custody without further incident.
He is charged with aggravated assault and third-degree cruelty to children.
UPDATE (8/5/2025 at 10:57 a.m.) The incident has concluded and the subject is in custody, according to the Warner Robins Police Department. No injuries were reported to first responders or anyone involved in the incident.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/ WMGT-DT ) – Warner Robins police responded early Tuesday morning to a family violence call in the 300 block of Athens Street.
When officers arrived, they made contact with victims who are family members. Police say the 33-year-old male suspect barricaded himself inside the residence and is alone.
The Warner Robins Police Department’s SWAT and Crisis Negotiation Team are on scene, working to negotiate with the man. Representatives from the Georgia Crisis Line have also been called in to assist.
Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area while the situation unfolds. The Houston County Board of Education has been notified to adjust school bus routes as needed.
