Warner Robins man accused of running away from Bibb deputies
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Warner Robins man is accused of running away from Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies.
Christopher Haynes, 33, is charged with speeding, reckless driving and fleeing eluding a peace officer.
Deputies were checking the area of Pansy Avenue at Montpelier Avenue for reckless driving motorcyclists. Deputies saw Haynes speeding and tried to stop him, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Investigators said Haynes didn’t stop. He turned down Vineville Avenue and then onto the I-75 south entrance ramp. He eventually lost control of his motorcycle and went into the grass between the interstate and off ramp to Mercer University Drive, according to the release.
Haynes and his passenger, 21-year-old Asia Weston, were taken to the hospital for their injuries. Both are stable.
