WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It was a family night out in Warner Robins as all residents military and non-military were invited to Memorial Park on Thursday.
Kids enjoyed various bounce houses, getting their face painted by Maar Bear’s Face Painting, booming live music from Nu Image DJs, food from the Kings Que & More food truck and other activities for the city’s Month of the Military Child Celebration.
According to the City of Warner Robins, the community wide event is dedicated to recognizing and honoring the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of military-connected children who navigate a unique lifestyle such as frequent relocations, changing schools, and enduring long periods apart from loved ones in service, while also fostering a spirit of connection and gratitude across the community.
Lera Moncrief, Marketing Coordinator for Warner Robins Convention & Visitors Bureau says this is their second time hosting the event.
“The military is near and dear to our hearts,” said Moncrief.
“We just want to honor the sacrifices that these children give every single day.”
“So we want our military families to know, they’re seen, heard, and supported in Warner Robins,” said Moncrief.
