Warner Robins hosting anonymous gun drop-off event
The event, called "Operation Lay It Down," will be held on Saturday, November 16 at Perkins Field.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Warner Robins officials unveiled the city’s newest initiative on Monday aimed at reducing gun violence among the youth.
It’s called “Operation Lay It Down.”
At a news conference, Warner Robins Mayor LaRhonda Patrick said the program will allow people to anonymously drop off guns at an upcoming event.
According to Mayor Patrick, crime is trending down overall, but not among youth.
The event is a joint effort among the Mayor’s Office, the Warner Robins Police Department and Reclaiming Ground.
It’s happening Saturday, November 16 at Perkins Field.
Drop hours run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
