Warner Robins Group to Save Rumble Grows, BOE Moves Forward with Central Registration
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The demolition of a school building is stirring up controversy in Warner Robins. Supporters are rallying to save Rumble Middle School and restore it to its original condition. But the Houston County Board of Education has a different plan for the building.
Rumble Middle School was the original Warner Robins High School and one of the first high schools in the Houston County area. So when Ken McCall heard the Houston County Board of Education slated Rumble to be demolished, the local restaurant owner knew something had to be done.
“Warner Robins is a very young city,” McCall said, “but we can’t forget our history.”
