Warner Robins Fireworks Celebration Set to Be One to Remember
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The fireworks show set up for the Warner Robins Independence Day Celebration is still scheduled after the concert on Sunday.
Despite the rain, crews were putting the final touches on the Warner Robins Independence Day Celebration.
Organizers made sure lights, band equipment, and even the VIP section were ready to go for the big performances.
Jerry Vincent works for East Coast Pyrotechnics. He’s one of the people in charge of making sure the fireworks show goes off without a hitch.
“It takes a lot of man power,” Vincent said. “The rain has cut us down a lot but we’re going to make it.”
While thousands are at the stadium for the celebration, they don’t see what happens behind the scenes. 400 fireworks are set up, some going as high as 100 feet in the air. Vincent says the show will be spectacular.
Even if it gets a little wet outside the choreographed show plans to go on.
“They will be shot as long as long as there is no lighting in the sky,” Vincent said. “We feel like one of the best finales in the state of Georgia.”
Vincent says it has taken all week to get the show together, but says it will be worth it.
The celebration for the show will be one to remember. It’s honoring the U.S. Band of the Air Force Reserve.
41NBC tried to get some of the secrets for the finale. Vincent says his lips are sealed.
