Warner Robins community welcomes ‘new’ Walmart
“Customers have an easier way to get in and out,” says Store Manager Nikki Hutto.
Hutto says the store is designed to generate faster service and give customers the feeling of a basic grocery store with the same Walmart values.
“[We want] to try to change what you think about Walmart,” says Hutto.
Hundreds of store associates, executives and community members came for the store’s grand opening on Wednesday morning.

When asked about the store and why is the best place for customer Michael Fatolitis to shop, he replied, “This is a different kind of Walmart. It’s a smaller concept, not like a supermarket…It’s close knit, but you can get in and get out.”
The store is complete with a drive-thru pharmacy, cashing service and fueling station.
Hutto says more than 95 jobs have been created, and Walmart is currently looking to employ others.
“We also offer jobs to Veterans, [called] direct placement, in order for them to kind of give back to all they’ve sacrificed for us,” adds Hutto.
