Warner Robins City Council Settles Former Mayor’s Assistant’s Claim
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A settlement has been reached in the legal battle between Warner Robins City Council and a former mayor’s assistant.
At Monday night’s meeting, the council agreed to pay Faye Coulter her sick leave and allow her to retire. In April, Coulter filed an intent to sue to the city, stating the mayor mistreated her and forced her into an early retirement. She demanded nearly half a million dollars from the city.
After the meeting, Mayor Chuck Shaheen stated a third party investigated Coulter’s claims and interviewed 10 other employees.
“There were no justifications of her claims,” he said, “I wish her the best.”
The city did not say how much money Coulter would receive in sick leave in the settlement.
