Warm now, but early week cold front will lower temperatures
Middle Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It just hasn’t felt much like December this week. You can thank high pressure to our south for that. Clockwise winds down south means high pressure is circulating winds from the southwest into our area. And when winds come from the southwest, it’s more humid and it’s warmer.
So your average high today is 60 degrees, but the high will get to 75. The average low is 37, but your lows will be in the 50s through the weekend.
However, you’ll also notice that model to the left that’s going into Monday. That rain you see is associated with a cold front. I’m putting an increased chance for rain and storms on Monday due to this system.
After it moves out of the area, we’ll experience cooler temperatures in the 60s and 40s for the highs and lows. That’s still warmer than average, but it’ll feel more like December than it has this week.
