Voters head to the polls for runoff elections in Monroe and Dooly Counties
Voters in Monroe and Dooly counties head to the polls to decide key commission races in the 2024 runoff elections.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/MWGT)- Today is runoff election day in Georgia, with voters in Monroe and Dooly counties deciding key local leadership races.
In Monroe County, the runoff for Commission District 4 pits Al Turner against Mark Dagostino.
Meanwhile, Dooly County voters will determine the outcome of the District 5 At-Large Commission seat. Republican Wayne West faces Independent incumbent David Barron.
In both races in November, neither candidate received more than 50% of the vote, which is required to win.
Polls are open until 7 p.m. tonight. Voters are encouraged to check their polling locations and ensure they have proper identification.
