Vote for Macon in National “Best Small Town” Contest
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The City of Macon is asking for your vote again to win a second national online competition.
The Rand McNally “Best of the Road” contest is looking for the country’s best small towns. Towns and cities are eligible to win in one of six categories: most beautiful, most fun, most patriotic, friendliest, best food, and best for geocaching.
Macon Mayor Robert Reichert hopes the community will come out and support the city like it did during the recent win in the Benjamin Moore ‘Paint What Matters’ contest.
“If we win, it would send another strong message that the people here love the town in which they live and are excited about its future and are participating in this social network, so it’d be wonderful to win a second contest,” Reichert said.
If the city wins, it will get an customized iPhone app and be featured in a road atlas.
Finalists will be named in mid-September.
