Vision Airlines Announces Arrival at Middle Georgia Regional Airport
The arrival of Atlanta-based Vision Airlines was officially introduced today to the Middle Georgia Regional Airport(MCN).
Company officials announced their plan to create a low-rate, high-class air carrier for Middle Georgia travelers to get to Florida.
The introduction to MCN means flying to Florida’s Emerald Coast, will now be about a 45 minute flight.
Flights take off from MCN beginning March 25th, but travelers can book tickets now through January 31st at a special rate of only $49.00 each way.
Vision Airline officials said they chose MCN because they noticed a trend of Middle Georgians driving to the Emerald Coast on a regular basis. They wanted to capitalize on the travel, plus make it easier and more affordable.
MCN Director Scott Coffman says the new airline, along with the ease of getting through Macon’s airport, made this deal a no-brainer.
He said, “Our airport is very simple to get through. Vision (Airline) has got a real simple check-in process. And you’re on your way to your vacation Friday. And without going up to Atlanta and driving for hours.”
The flights between Macon and the Emerald Coast only fly on Monday and Friday each week.
