Vineville Academy celebrates National Green Apple Day

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – National Green Apple Day focuses on giving back to the community and being green. It also provides students with a productive learning environment.

Vineville Academy celebrated National Green Apple with a Zumba class for exercise and a display of student artwork made entirely from recycled materials. 

“We only have one earth and we want our children to realize that the earth was here before us, and the earth will continue on without us and that it’s our duty and responsibility to keep the environment clean,” said Kristy Graham, Principal of Vineville Academy. 

The celebration doesn’t end with this event. Miller Magnet Middle School will have a “trash”ion show Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. Students will model outfits made entirely out of recycled materials.
