Vineville Academy 1st Graders Make Blankets for Needy

Vineville Academy of the Arts first graders are piloting a service project called Project Linus.

The children are making blankets to donate to sick, traumatized, or otherwise needy children  Houston County Medical Center Neo Natal Nursery and the Ronald McDonald House.

The children have completed three blankets to donate. The project has also encouraged other teachers to participate in the program.

Project Organizer and student teacher, Amanda Jones, says she thinks the school will donate around 25 blankets in total next Friday.
