VIDEO: Charges Dismissed in School Brd. Member Fight

Two former Monroe County school board candidates won’t face criminal charges, a judge ruled Wednesday.  The ruling requires Willie J. Green and James P. Evans have no contact with each other.

Surveillance video from a golf course captured Green striking Evans in the head with a golf club on November 9.  Forsyth police later recovered a picket knife which Green says Evans used to threaten him.  Both men were cited for disorderly conduct and required to attend a pre-warrant hearing on Wednesday.

Evans was re-elected as Vice Chairman of the school board on November 2.
