Victim dies after being struck by forklift in Perry, OSHA investigating
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on December 3, the Perry Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene, where a commercial forklift had accidentally struck the victim.

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)– A construction accident on Tuesday afternoon, claimed the life of an individual near the entrance of Woodlands Boulevard and Highway 127, according to a news release from the Perry Police Department.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on December 3, the Perry Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene, where a commercial forklift had accidentally struck the victim. Emergency responders provided medical aid on-site before the victim was taken to the Houston Medical Center, but the individual succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.
The Perry Police Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) have launched a joint investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“Our thoughts are with the victim’s family during this difficult time,” said Perry Police Chief Alan Everidge in a statement.
