VHS Cheerleaders Win State Championship

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (Houston County Schools)– Veterans High School’s cheerleading team won first place at the AAAA State championship this past Saturday.  The Varsity squad members are pictured with their trophy, medals and championship t-shirts.

The cheerleaders are:  (from left, front row) Hannah McLemore, Cierra Drake, Katlyn Kieweg, Ashley Marolf, Shelby Jackson, Brianna Bare, Anna Grace Teague, Kacie Lucas, Kailey Burress, (second row) Coach Daniel Satterfield, Makayla Pierce, Molly Lauritsen, Kristen Clarke, Kaitlyn Fowler, Shannon Lowry, Ella Ondike, Cortney Spraggins, Taylor Liszewski, Kaley Mixon, Head Coach Dana Burress, Coach Jessica Nowak, and Coach Susan Nowak.

Burress, varsity competition coach, exclaimed, “We are so excited and pleased!  The girls worked so hard to ensure that they achieved their goal this year of ending our season undefeated.  We finished with a score of 294 out of 300, the highest score of all the state champions!”
