WARNER ROBINS, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – On Thursday night at Freedom Field, the Veterans Warhawks earn their second victory of the season with a 17-14 walkoff overtime win.

Veterans went into the locker room up 14-0. However, the Warhawks gave up two fourth quarter touchdowns to the Panthers to tie this game up at 14 a piece. With a minute left to go, the Warhawks drove down the field to set up the game winning field goal. However they would miss with 25 seconds left to go in the game. That would force overtime. Panthers got the ball first, but were stuffed at the line by the defense, and a fumble turns the ball over to Veterans. In the Warhawks opening overtime possession, Veterans was forced to a three and out and had to kick another field goal to win the game. This time it’s good. Veterans wins 17-14 in overtime.

The now 2-1 Warhawks head into their bye week, before taking on the Perry Panthers at the Panther Pit on September 12.
