VA ask for removal of current director of Carl Vinson VA Medical Center

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Department of Veterans Affairs asked for the removal of John S. Goldman, current Director of the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center.

An investigation by the Inspector General reveals the hospital manipulated data.

The Carl Vinson Public Affairs office released a statement saying “The purpose of this proposed removal is to honor our commitment to hold all senior executives accountable for their actions and to ensure continuity of leadership for employees and veterans at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center”.

Dr. Shirley Warren will hold the position of Interim Director until Monday.

Thomas Grace from the Atlanta VA Medical will take on the role then.
