UPDATE: Twiggs County Public Schools to Remain Closed Friday
JEFFERSONVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Twiggs County Schools are all going to be closed Friday.
They let out early Thursday around 11:30 a.m. because of a water pressure issue in Jeffersonville.
A release from Twiggs County Schools Interim Superintendent Benjamin Roundtree says the closing is necessary since the water impacts everything from flushing the toilets to preparing meals for student lunches.
41NBC made calls to the city water department to see what was wrong with the water pressure in the area, and officials told us they’re investigating.
