UPDATE: Suspect Denied Bond in Bibb County’s First Homicide of 2013
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County deputies are investigating the county’s first homicide of 2013, after a fatal shooting in the Kings Park subdivision.
A Bibb County judge denied the suspect, 51-year-old Kenneth Tharpe bond on Monday afternoon. Tharpe waived his right to a commitment hearing.
He’s charged with felony murder for shooting and killing Kelvin Davis. Witnesses told investigators the victim was visiting a woman at a home on Lancing Court.
The two men started arguing and that’s when Tharpe pulled a gun and shot Davis twice in the chest.
Davis was pronounced dead at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. This case is still under investigation.
