UPDATE: Surveillance photos released of suspect in Fort Valley shooting

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Fort Valley Police Department is looking for an armed robbery suspect who shot a man at the Sky Beverage store on Martin Luther King Drive Thursday morning.

It happened around 11:30. Officers found 54-year-old Dennis Patel with a gunshot wound to his upper body.

The owner of the store, Rupal Patel, says the robber approached her first, then turned away and shot her husband.

“We have wonderful customers here, we love our customers and our customers love us. I don’t think it was a regular,” Patel adds.
