UPDATE: Semi truck driver not facing charges in fatal moped accident

MACON, GA (41NBC/WMGT) – The Warner Robins man driving an 18-wheeler than ran over a woman on a moped is not facing any charges, but authorities say that could change.

Lt. Randy Gonzalez with the Bibb Sheriff’s Office tells 41NBC 53-year-old Gary Douglas Wills ran through a stop sign at Industrial Park Drive and Erick Drive Monday around 6 p.m. The semi truck hit 46-year-old Latrailia Faye Johnson of Fort Valley. Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones says she died instantly.

Gonzalez says Wills has not been cited in this incident, but he could face charges pending the outcome of the investigation.
