Update: People trapped after tractor trailer accident along I-75 North

MONROE COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – All lanes of I-75 are now open after a tractor trailer trapping people on I-75 Northbound near mile marker 177 around 4:00 p.m closing all lanes of travel.

According to a Monroe County news release, its believed a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser driven by 23-year-old David Daniel of Jones County struck a tractor trailer driven by 54-year-old David Evans of Beaufort, South Carolina, while trying to change lanes.

The loaded tractor trailer filled with ice, lost control and flipping onto the Toyota trapping the driver and passenger, 20-year-old Chole Flower.

Daniel was quickly removed from the vehicle. It took 40 minutes to remove Fowler.

She was transported to an Atlanta area hospital by LifeFlight with serious injuries.

Daniel was taken to Macon by ambulance along with Evans.

No charges are expected to be filed in this case 

It isn’t clear how many people are trapped.
