UPDATE: Peach County woman dead after fight with boyfriend

BYRON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The autopsy results of a Byron woman, who police say was killed by her boyfriend, were released, Wednesday.

Byron police say 20-year-old Destiny Clark died of “punctured wounds to the neck.” It was the only life threatening wound found on her body.

Her boyfriend 23-year-old Ratavius Canion is charged with her murder.

Officials said they received a call around 3 p.m. Friday from an unidentified caller reporting a murder at an apartment off Martin Luther King Drive.

Officers arrived at the scene and made contact Canion at the back door of her apartment.

Byron Police Chief Wesley Cannon said Canion told officers he had a fight with his girlfriend and she was dead inside the home.

Peach County Coroner pronounced Clark dead at the scene.

The investigation is still ongoing.
