UPDATE: Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrests man in theft investigation
According to investigators, the theft happened around 6 a.m. on January 8 at Al’s Market, located at 275 N. Lee Street.

UPDATE (1/12): – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has identified and arrested the suspect in the theft by taking investigation.
Investigators arrested Lewis Banks and charged him with theft of lost/mislaid property, identity theft and financial transaction card fraud.
According to the sheriff’s office, Banks does not currently have a bond.

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office needs your help finding a man accused of stealing a debit card and then using it shortly after.
According to investigators, the theft happened around 6 a.m. on January 8 at Al’s Market, located at 275 N. Lee Street.
Investigators say the man then went to The Little Store, located at 111 MLK Drive, and used the stolen debit card around 30 minutes later.
